Built by design.Not by circumstance.

From a childhood of abuse in Boston to a Grammy nomination and 80 million records sold, a hand in gaming’s first billion-dollar lifestyle brand, and a league that puts celebrities and gamers on the same stage, Clinton Sparks has built it all without a roadmap. For 25 years, he has created companies, brands, and culture that make a lasting impact.

Nobody handed him a roadmap. So he built his own.

Clinton grew up through abuse, homelessness and instability. No diploma, no connections, no safety net. What he had was an unusual ability to read people and see where culture was heading before everyone else did. He turned that into a career that keeps reinventing itself, and into a conviction he now teaches: your circumstances explain where you started, not where you finish.

The basement

From a makeshift studio in his mother’s basement, he convinced major record labels he was already running a successful radio show. They believed him, and he made it true.

The airwaves

On air at Boston’s Hot 97.7 by 2000, he went on to build a 22-city syndicated radio show and become part of Eminem’s Shade 45 on SiriusXM. In 2004 he co-founded MixUnit.com, which became one of the internet’s biggest mixtape marketplaces.

The records

A Grammy nomination, multi-platinum plaques and more than 80 million records sold. He discovered and signed DJ Snake and worked with Beyoncé, Eminem, Lady Gaga and Kanye West.

The brand building

He became a C-suite executive at multiple companies and consulted for brands like Build-A-Bear and Cîroc. He spent five years as a host on E! News, while his Get Familiar brand took him around the world as a DJ.

The pivot to gaming

As VP of Business Development at FaZe Clan, he explained gaming to Wall Street, recruited major names, and helped raise millions for what became the first billion-dollar gaming lifestyle brand.

The founder

He co-founded XSET, raised millions, and opened the first gaming lounge inside a Las Vegas nightclub and the first at Boston’s Fenway Park. Then he founded the Global Gaming League and raised $10 million to build it.

The microphone

A pioneer in podcasting, Clinton returned in 2026 with GET FAMILIAR with Clinton Sparks, a new podcast from iHeartRadio, the network where his career began more than 20 years ago.

He builds the brands, the business, and the belief.

Marketing & brand building

He knows why people pay attention and what makes them act. Brands bring him in to become part of a culture rather than advertise at it.

Some brands and partners: Samsung, Pepsi, New Balance, the NFL, SiriusXM, Nordstrom, the Boston Red Sox, Yahoo, Hard Rock, Comcast, Build-A-Bear, Ghost Energy, Frank’s RedHot, Cîroc, iHeartMedia and Mattel.

Business leadership

He raises capital, recruits talent, and builds relationships that keep paying off for years. Five companies, each one in a category most people didn’t believe in yet.

Track record: FaZe Clan’s run to $1B+, XSET, the Global Gaming League, and discovering and signing DJ Snake to his publishing company, Get Familiar Music. Snake went on to become one of the most successful and best-known DJs in the world.

Overcoming adversity

He didn’t read about resilience. He lived it, then built a framework from it so others can design their lives instead of inheriting them.

The framework: Built By Design, Not By Circumstances. Plus his book, How to Win Big in the Music Business.

The Global Gaming League

Clinton Sparks with the Global Gaming League team

The first gaming entertainment league built on celebrity team ownership. The GGL is a league of celebrity team owners whose teams compete live across every kind of game, from Call of Duty and Rocket League to Street Fighter, Mario Kart and Tetris.

It is also a first-of-its-kind online gaming tech platform. Through GGL Primes, gamers of all levels from anywhere in the world can compete, climb the ranks, get drafted and earn a paid spot on a celebrity-owned team.

Clinton built it with his partners, T-Pain and Priceline co-founder Jeff Hoffman, on the same idea behind everything else he does: when gaming, music, fashion, sports and celebrity meet, the audience is bigger than any one of them alone.

How to Win Big in the Music Business by Clinton Sparks, foreword by Daymond John

How to Win Big in the Music Business

Foreword by Shark Tank’s Daymond John

Clinton’s playbook for winning in music, business and life: the principles and traits that took a kid with nothing to a Grammy nomination, 80 million records sold, multiple companies built, and the happy family he’d always wanted.

Bring the whole story to your stage.

Keynotes, firesides, workshops and full-program hosting for leadership summits, sales kickoffs, founder conferences, brand activations and entertainment events. No theory, just what he learned building it.

Built by design, not by circumstances

Most people let where they started decide where they end up. Clinton shows audiences how to spot the inner issues holding them back and deliberately design the career, business and life they want. He’s been rich enough and broke enough to know the difference between building multiple streams of income and building multiple streams of happiness, and why the second one makes the first easier.
